Camp Tecumseh Staff
Mary Anne Hunsberger
Assistant Equestrian Director
Mary Anne was raised in Montpelier, Indiana, the hometown of Irving’s big brother. Her early years, spent at Heritage Hall Christian School, were filled with 4-H, volleyball and basketball. At Purdue she majored in Animal Science. In 2004, just short of finishing her Masters, Mary Anne answered a newspaper ad for a summer Equestrian counselor position. After that summer she was unexpectedly offered a full time position.
Mary Anne’s days are spent building relationships with campers, caring for the mini farm animals and the horses, executing a fun, safe program for summer campers, and coordinating weeked trail rides. Mary Anne plays in an indoor soccer league, captures the beauty of God’s creation through the lens of her camera, runs the trails of camp, and reads. An off handed comment led to her slightly unwilling participation in a Warrior Dash, which she’s signed up to do again. Her Stargate and NCIS DVD collections are vast. She also enjoys traveling, and has been to Brazil, England, France, Germany, Switzerland, and most of the US.
