“I’m an alien, I’m a legal alien, I’m an Englishman at Camp T” – Sting (with creative liberty)

Tom originates from Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, England. Most people in America know Newcastle for the ale that’s brewed there or the coals historically mined there. Unfortunately, they don’t know Newcastle for the football team that plays there. Like many full time staffers here, Tom got sucked into the CT community as a cabin counselor in the late 90’s and couldn’t get enough of the acceptance and love flying around this place. A wife (Katrina or Katrinkles), two kids (Oliver or Ollie meister and Sophia or ‘The Ginger Ninja’) and double digit years later, Tom is still here and loving the daily opportunities to make a difference.

As Director of Programs, Tom is focused on ensuring top notch program experiences across the board and pushing the envelope of creativity and innovation all while keeping the focus on being intentional and purposeful and spreading God’s love to everyone who comes into camp.

Tom enjoys tasty nutritional food with friends, woodland adventures, and worship/dance parties with the wife and kids. Tom also finds traveling to other cultures most enlightening. Over the years he’s learned that ginger ninjas stand out like a sore thumb in Brazil, Not many in South Africa are out to mug tourists (despite what the travel guides say) and that the Rocky films could have been filmed on the amphitheater steps of Ephesus.
