Lake Shade Shelters! Camp preparations continue!

Camp News, CT Construction

Here are a couple of more pictures of the new seating walls and shade shelters at the Richard Marsh Lake!  The seating walls and shade shelters are already being used by school and retreat groups.  In spite of a rainy spring the camp maintenance team has done a great job at getting these done.  Note that the roofs of the new shelters match the design of the Lookout Tower across the lake and the water slide that went up last summer.  The new beach volleyball set up will be placed when the rain stops.  Only 37 days until the first day of Summer Camp!

Music: Saved by Grace!

Camp Music

Camp is getting so close!  We can’t wait, and everyday we’re doing preparing something brand new for Summer Camp 2009.

However, we know that you still want us to upload a new mp3 every other week, and we’re happy to oblige!  This time it’s a version of the song “Saved by Grace” from last year’s week 8!  Before you know it you’ll be singing it at chapel!

Day Camp Open House Successful Despite Rain

Camp News, Day Camp

Even the rain couldn’t stop us on Sunday.

Despite the cold and rain, about 50 people stopped by camp on Sunday to find out more about Day Camp.  Visitors tried their hands at Mini Golf, had their faces painted, roasted marshmallows and took tours.  About 25 summer Day Camp staff were on site to answer questions and help kids and parents alike try out the Black Hole, Climbing Wall and Archery.

If you missed out on the Open House, and would like more information or a tour, feel free to contact Day Camp Director Joel (765-564-2898 x309) to setup a tour or ask any questions.
