Oh Deer!

Camp News

How many deer can you see fording the river?

Friday October 8, 2010 9:10am

Tuesday October 5, 2010 8:05am

The cooler weather has caused more morning fog that often conceals their movements.  The deer crossed about an hour earlier a few mornings before and were very difficult to see.

Make sure you check out the side deck of the River Lodge next time you are at camp.

Osprey!

Camp News

The River Lodge porch is a great place to see wildlife.  This osprey was perched directly across the Tippecanoe River from the lodge.  The photograph was taken on September 30, 2010.

The photos below can be opened to full size if you would like to see more detail.

October 23rd-Partner’s Service Day

Camp News, CT Events

Partner’s Service Days are a great opportunity to meet new people, re-unite with friends, model volunteering to your family, and reconnect with Camp in a special way.  It is also a great way to introduce first time campers and help them feel more comfortable and confident.

We gather at 9:00 am in the Lake Village parking lot to divide into groups and choose a project.  You can come for the entire day or  help for a couple of hours.  Hamburgers and brats are served picnic style  at noon and then we regroup to finish remaining projects.

Please email Vince at vincep@camptecumseh.org if you would like to be included or have questions.  More information will be sent in a few weeks to those that indicate that they would like to participate.  It really is a great time!
