Summer Trainings Have Begun!

Camp News

“Coordinator Training” is the first formal summer staff training of the year.

Talking about group dynamics and good communication skills.

It is a great time to get to know each other as a leadership team and to discuss any new activities or changes.

"Goal Setting" and "Taking Care of Yourself and Others"

Each village has two age Units, with two Unit Coordinators each.  Each village also has two Village Directors and an Administrative Assistant.

Ready for the challenge!

Excited to be back!

Also included in the mix are the CILT Leaders, Creative Arts Director, High Ropes Assistant Director, and full time directors.  It was a wonderful time of learning, sharing, and planning.

It’s going to be a great summer!

Thank You Service Day Partners

Camp News

We had a great time at the May 7th Partner’s Service Day.

60 White Pines were planted in Oregon Territory

Constructing the base of the Ga Ga Pit

We had a total of 30 volunteers help plant and mulch 110 trees, plant flowers, and construct a new Ga Ga Pit.

50 White Cedar Trees planted as a wind break.

Flowers were planted at the River Lodge and entrance sign.

Immigration Counselor Maureen Doyle from Purdue’s Office of International Students and Scholars was able to join us again this year with a group of 10 students.

A special thanks to the Marquardt family for driving down 4.5 hours from Michigan and assisting by heading up the Ga Ga Pit and flower planting projects.

Chris, Christopher, and Judy Marquardt all the way from Michigan.

Joel and Adam finish off the Ga Ga Pit and pose for a picture.

Please contact Vince Pattengale at  vincep@camptecumseh.org if you would like more information on dates for the Fall Partner’s Service Day.

Thanks again to all those that helped.
