Summer Camp has such a positive effect on everyone that experiences its culture. The “Fruits of the Spirit” are plentiful at Camp and parents are quick to say that their children come home with more “Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self-Control”.

- The “Fruits of the Spirit”.
We want to encourage you to purpose to not let your fruit shrivel up while you are away from Camp.

- “Inspector Bo” and his “No-Shrink Spray”
“Inspector Bo the Hobo” uses his “No-Shrink Spray” at chapel to help preserve the fruits that grew at Camp that week. What are ways you keep the “Fruits of the Spirit” fresh in your home?

We have now completed Summer Camp 2011. Only the wonderful glow still remains (plus some lost and found). What an amazing summer it was. Our staff sang, cheered, laughed, and cried at the Celebration Banquet last Saturday night. We sang ‘Tecumseh’ for the final time of the summer and already started talking about next summer!! Thanks to everyone who helped make this ‘the best summer ever!’

The 3rd period fishing clinic ventured down to the Tippecanoe River today with hopes of landing a BIG one. We start as a group talking about what the “drag” is on your pole and why it is important to make sure it is set properly and working when fishing for larger fish. Everyone is armed with “Dough Balls” and is anticipating something big. “The fish don’t have hands so set the hook if your bait is moving!”

Hey Mom and Dad! Look what I caught!
Fishing for carp is great because of their size and you can tell by the bend in the rod when someone has hooked one. It is fun to watch other campers look on as the fish is worked in and the counselors assist with the net.

There is always a lot of commotion and excitement when the fish surfaces for the first time.

Playing give-and-take with the line.
It is much easier to teach the basics of reeling in a fish with a nice one actually on your line.

It was a great group effort!
It is a team effort in the sense that the group feels successful if anyone catches a fish.
