Thanks to everyone who came out for Partner Service Day this weekend!
We were able to collectively complete many projects that have been on our to-do list all winter! (click the images to see the full-size versions)
Planting Flowers to make a great first impression when new people enter camp:

Picking up sticks and branches to keep campers safe:

Creating a new path within the Teams Course so that groups can use the elements more effectively:

Building a new Pioneer-era cabin to replace and improve upon the Outdoor Education programs:

Simply making new friends and having a good time:

All of these are important and worthy endeavors that volunteers participated in this weekend!
Pass this along to someone if you recognized them in a photo… and plan to join us in the fall if you can! Partner Service Day is always a great time!

Come join us April 27th as we gather to help make improvements around camp.

Partner Service Day 2012
It’s a great way to model volunteering with your family and an opportunity to introduce your friends to camp. Come for the day or for as much as your schedule will allow.
We meet at 9am in the Lake Village parking lot where we learn about the different projects and then divide and conquer.
- Planting Spring Flowers
- Working on the Pioneer Cabin
- Clearing the Teams Course trails (and possibly doing our own activity!)
- Cutting Vines off trees
- Taking the fence down on Tecumseh Bend

Purdue Students Volunteering during Partner Service Day 2012
Lunch is served picnic style off the grill around noon and then we re-group and complete the unfinished projects.
Also, Email Tom with any questions you might have.We hope to see you on the 27th!

We had a wonderful turn out for the May 1st Partner’s Service Day! Thanks to all those that gave of their time to serve Camp and partner with us in working to make it better. We had several first timers that were quickly welcomed into the Camp community by the rest of the Tecumseh family.

We met at 9 am and divided to complete a variety of tasks. A large crew devoted their efforts toward constructing a new erosion control trail leading down to Ghost Creek and repairing erosion on the existing trail. Another crew worked at the River Chapel to clear the view of the Tippecanoe River and sank posts for an additional chapel bench. And as always, we had a crew working on the Camp flower beds preparing them for the summer.

This is a great opportunity to serve as a family, role model volunteering, and to make new friends. We look forward to another Partner’s Service Day in the fall.
Thanks again to all those that participated.
