There is a lot happening here during summer camp season, so there is a wide variety of opportunities for potential Camp Tecumseh staff to consider.

Resident Camp staff are usually persons who are old enough to have completed their first year of college. Resident staff commit to live at camp for staff training and the nine weeks of the camp season. For 2008, those dates are from June 8 through August 9.

Resident summer staff include the position of camp counselor, but there are also several more specific specific positions and rolls available. Please take a look at our list of Summer Staff Positions.

Day Camp Staff must have completed at least their Junior year of high school and be at least 17 years of age by the time of their employment. Day Camp staff members work between 2 1/2 to 7 1/2 weeks during the summer depending on their availability, and Day Camp counselors live on site with a resident cabin group during their employment.

Many of our resident staff members started their employment by working at day camp. It's a great way to start off many wonderful years of service to Camp Tecumseh.
