Organizational Strategy
Camp Tecumseh YMCA will strive to grow individuals and communities with improved PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND SPIRITUAL WELLBEING, DECREASED DIVISIVENESS, and APPRECIATION FOR THE ENVIRONMENT. We will do that through developing more intentional programs, reducing the barriers that prevent more individuals from attending, and collaborating with other community leaders. To support these efforts, we must hire and develop exceptional staff and have premiere facilities.
Operational Strategies
INTENTIONAL PROGRAMS
Create new and modify existing programs that focus on individual development and community engagement. Increase our offerings year-round, attracting new populations and groups not currently served by camp.
REDUCE BARRIERS
Make camp accessible to more people by identifying, and where possible, reducing and eliminating physical, financial, cultural, and other barriers. Increase the diversity of campers and guests.
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT AND COLLABORATION
Identify strategic community partners and enhance collective offerings to ensure we are a leader in youth development among all service providers in the region.
DEVELOP STAFF AND VOLUNTEER LEADERSHIP
Ensure Camp Tecumseh is an employer of choice and maintain our stable core of leadership and staff by expanding recruitment, training, and intentional succession planning.
PREMIER FACILITIES
Continually maintain and upgrade existing buildings, property, and land and develop new and renovated facilities to support long-term success.
EVALUATE AND SUPPORT IMPACT
Develop tools and metrics to quantify the impact of all Camp Tecumseh experiences and evaluate both effect and efficiency of resources. Raise and allocate resources appropriately to ensure sustainability.
