Give a gift that changes lives
Every day Camp Tecumseh helps build the kind of leaders the world needs. However, we can only do it with your help. When you give, you help build selfless leaders who care more about others than themselves. You inspire go-getters who aren’t afraid to take risks and get their hands dirty doing important work. You motivate principled citizens to stand up for what’s right no matter how tough it is. You show the next generation of leaders how to love one another, take responsibility for their actions, stand up for others, and grow in faith. When you give to Camp Tecumseh, you change lives.
What Camp Tecumseh is today is a result of what all of us have left behind during our time there. Camp has shaped us and we have shaped Camp. – Former counselor, camper, and donor
The Live Third Fund
Life-changing experiences for the next generation
Camp Tecumseh’s Live Third Fund provides life-changing experiences for campers through camperships, spiritual development, and Camp improvements. Make an unrestricted gift which will be used where it is most needed, or designate your gift for a specific purpose.
Much like a college scholarship, a campership covers the cost of Camp fees, making Tecumseh experiences possible for hundreds of campers each year. Camp Tecumseh awards both full and partial scholarships.
From the bibles we hand out to every Blazer camper, to devotion supplies for cabins, to chapel improvements, the spiritual development fund equips our staff to help our campers grow in faith.
Camp improvements cover the cost of program supplies like dodgeballs and canoe paddles, while also helping fund new activities and programs that help instill Camp’s core values.
”These camperships could not have come at a better time for my girls. Their mother’s health is failing and life at home is not as easy or as pleasant as a father would like. Camp Tecumseh allowed for an escape from the stress and responsibilities these girls now face at home. Thanks to you and your contributors from the bottom of my heart.”
The Tecumseh Society
A monthly giving program for friends of Camp
When you join the Tecumseh Society you join a group of difference-makers who not only believe in the mission of Camp Tecumseh, but actively work to provide life-changing experiences for campers. For as little as $10 a month, you can help send kids to Camp while taking advantage of incentives and opportunities to stay connected to Camp Tecumseh all year long.
World-class facilities for world-changing work.
For 93 years, we’ve intentionally built our facilities to inspire creativity and imagination. We’ve built them to promote friendship and skill-building. We’ve built them to immerse campers in environments where they can play, love, and learn alongside compassionate peers and role-model counselors. When you make a capital gift, you’re investing in the future of Camp Tecumseh by providing industry-leading facilities, program areas, and infrastructure that enable our staff to do their world-changing work.
If you’re interested in learning more about our current capital projects, making a capital gift, or exploring Camp Tecumseh’s naming opportunities, contact Scott Brosman.
Leave a legacy that makes a lasting difference
When you contribute to Camp Tecumseh YMCA’s endowment fund, you make a difference in the lives of campers that lasts for generations. That’s because your contribution is never spent. Instead, your contribution is invested to produce interest. That interest is then used to carry out the mission of Camp Tecumseh. Therefore, gifts to the endowment fund continue to benefit campers forever.
Unrestricted vs Restricted Funds
Unrestricted gifts to the endowment will be allocated to the areas of most need as determined by Camp staff. Alternatively you can direct your endowed gift towards particular interests ranging from program development, to staffing, to maintenance and upkeep. Several named funds have already been developed to honor Camp friends. Many others have been established to maintain high quality Tecumseh experiences.
Ways to Give
